Planning Tips
- • Always over-cater slightly. 10–20% extra covers seconds, breakages and last-minute guests. Leftovers freeze well.
- • Mini cupcakes count differently. If you're making minis, plan for 2–3× the number of standard cupcakes.
- • Bake in batches the day before. Frost on the morning. Most cupcakes are at their best within 24 hours of baking.
- • Offer variety. Two or three flavours feels generous without overwhelming you in the kitchen.
- • Include a crowd-pleaser. Vanilla or chocolate should always be at least a third of the mix — they suit every palate.
- • Allergy-aware? Make at least a few vegan or gluten-free options for larger events. Mark them clearly.
